Question 1

Our opening sequence consists of a typical teenage lifestyle: young relationships, being upset, having fun and the typical home life. Ours start sequence is different to other romance/comedies because it tries not to give to much away it will give you the typical story line, but it doesn't tell you the whole story in the first two minutes. The title of the film comes up last in the opening because watching the 1st few minutes intrigues you but also leaves you hanging because you don't have any idea what the films called or about, but as the title comes up you can understand whats going to happen, without giving away the full story. The costumes we picked are made to be up to fashion so that the teenagers today can relate to these characters. We have used a minimum amount of edits in the opening sequence so it doesn't jump through the whole begining but gives enough edits to get the understanding across to the audience. The characters are introduces right from the start as Joe and Georgina (our main characters) are the 1st to appear on screen so you get the understandind straight from the start. Our genre is romcom and our opening clearly states that with the two being all loved up and then suddenly being apart, followed by our title later on 'Karma'.

Sound effects and titles

I feel that titles will be a major part of the opening scene as it will immediately grab the attention of the audince which is extremely important. I will be using special titles and sound effects to create my main titles. Adobe after effects and soundbooth are the tools i am going to use,to create them.We couldn't decied what titles we should use for our opening scene so i asked different people what they thought and what sort of titles that they liked, which nearly everyone said Fly by Titles, so using there feedback we decided to try that.

The detailed plan of filming.

· Titles and actors name... positions like sound editor in there,

· Snapshots of Joe and Gina when they were together

· Establishing wide shot, near Joes home showing the area that we will be filming... for instance film the sky gradually lowering until we are the camera shot.

· Two shot of Me and Joe walking to his house I say to Joe “mate there is only one way to get her back; play her at her own game”, I will carry on and Joe will be filmed entering his home.

· From inside his home, he run up his stairs and match on action on his door entering....he will go to lay on his bed when he sees a picture of Gina he pick as the picture up and remissness over her... fade out of video.. With him and Gina walking to the under pass.

· Overlaying that video he hears me say “mate there is only one way you can get her back;play here at her own game” the video fades out and he grins.... rips the picture in half and puts it on his bedside cabinet and lays on his bed.

· Close up on ripped picture titles come up above the picture.

Distribution.

Today in our theory lesson we learnt about distribution. Which is good while making our films because we learnt how they get distributed and the process that it goes through until it eventually publicised for everyone to know about.

Weather

We are planning to go out and film next week providing the weather stays ok for us. The plan is for us to film on Tuesday.
